Nike have revealed official images of the Nike Dunk Low ‘Florida A&M’. An official release date is yet to be announced, but check the pics in this article and stay locked for updates.
In 2021, Florida A&M University signed a multi-year partnership with Nike to develop footwear, uniforms and apparel for FAMU athletes.
The two will now collaborate on a sneaker devouring the zeitgeist in 2022 – the special edition Dunk Low emblazoned with FAMU’s signature green and gold palette. This Dunk, constructed with a crisp white leather base, features a colourway that utilises golden orange overlays, laces and lining, while green Swooshes extend the snake-like vernacular of the design.
The model is replete with FAMU iconography, including the university’s rattlesnake mascot (‘Rattler) on the tongues and embroidered heels detailing the year the school was founded – 1887.
Elsewhere, ‘COLAC’ (College of Love and Charity) appears on the lateral forefoots, while the phrase ‘WE BRAGG DIFFERENT’ appears above the white midsoles on the heels. Down below, graphic translucent outsoles complete the design.
Once a favourite among college hoopers, the Nike Dunk first made its appearance on the hardwood in the mid-1980s.
